He's sooo sweet!!
We didn't get home until 2am. He wanted nothing to do with his crate and since we were all so exhausted from the trip...Rob and I let him sleep in bed with us. He woke at up at 6am went out to pee and then ate 1 and 3/4 cups of food. He then peed and pooped outside about 35 min after that. So far no accidents in the house He loves the antler!!
Buck has his own pool lounger now!
He had his 15 weeks shots today. 38 lbs. He is SO much fun! We love him

Thought you'd like to know our lil lamb is 108 pounds!!! Awe, he is 100% pure angel!!! Oh yes, he loves being outside especially now that the kids and I stay outside longer he just loves to be wherever the action is lol!!! Dozer~
Made it home safe! Peach is in heaven playing with her new bro!!
Heath and Mary M. OH
UPDATE:
He is doing really well..he is teaching Peach how the potty bell works! He's is following simple commands and is way better outside than Peach is but hoping she learns from him..they play very well together even spotted them napping together
Doing ok been busy with work and kids sports...Peach and Dozer are well. Still having some behavior issues with then running away..however when they run they run to their friends house to play with their dog's, alpacas, humans..
They do are friends and the same age..kinda think that's why they run is to see them..glad to have them close..they will bring them in the house and call when they show up..boys get mad because they usually do it when it's raining. Dozer sleeps with Malachi
Question for ya
Does Dozers dad like to hold ur hand in his mouth?
Licking monsters they are and I don't even care lol... Dozer will stand lean on me and just hold my hand in his mouth gently smh crazy dog

Bon-Bon~
The pup did great the entire ride. Thank you for everything.

UPDATES:
I am absolutely amazed at how she has taken to off leash training like a duck to water. I take her to work with me. She meets at least 20 people per day, and we have begun personal protection training.

She has adjusted beautifully
It's crazy how easy it is to train this dog. Bon-Bon is awesome.
Both pups are enjoying the toys.
Owen is 2.5 years old. Bon-Bon is 17 weeks old. Bon-Bon is gentle with my son and does not bite him. These two are inseparable. Absolutely. She comes back wet and muddy after every hike. This is an amazing dog. She might end up being better than my hound.
7 months now. She's built like Jack.
Bon-Bon and the baby. This dog will put up with anything from these kids. Bonnie just hit a mental mile stone. I've had a lot dogs in my life and many different breeds. At a year and a half old this is the easiest dog to train I've ever lived with. You notice that your theme song is in the background right?
|
Bob-Bon is doing great! She pays attention and learns quickly. So far she has the following commands: sit, come, let's go, up, no, and drop it. She does great on the leash and crate training is going beautifully.
The girls woke up.
These two love each other. They are two peas in a pod. Bon-Bon is the easiest dog I've ever trained! Bon-Bon is 6 months this coming Thursday. She is 57.5 lbs. I've yet to find a dog toy that can handle her jaw strength. Even the Kong toys only last a few days/weeks. She does not have any people, dog, or food aggression. She is catching on to pretty much all the training, but we are still working on leash pulling. All in all, she's a fantastic pup.
A boy and his dog.
Big girl 85 lbs
Bon-Bon loves this baby. She constantly amazes me with her patience with my kids. I can't say enough good things about this dog. Just now the baby tried to take the ball out of her mouth and she nudged the ball to the baby with her nose.

Love her bunches!! At the moment, were taking a field trip to Panera
We love her so much It rained pretty hard today... so this is the next best thing She's still going at it
Hahaha... She keeps picking up her place and then she tanks out... It would probably do her good to go in the other direction She sped back up after I sent it to you She is doing great! Wouldn't even know she had surgery... We're trying to keep her calm, but she's bouncing around like a 7 month old puppy. Yes... She's a booger, lol... We love her
She has so much personality! She's a goof She's beautiful!
She loves her walks... We are just getting back into the swing of things now that the warmer weather is here... I was worried we would have to retrain a little... But she jumped right back in to rhythm. We adore her!

That makes sense! She is a good girl and she is super smart.
Dixie in her Xmas dress on her way to Lowe's and Benson's Pet Store. She was more nervous then I expected but did ok. We will definitely be going a few times a week She was great being approached by people but the actually environment made her nervous. So thank you for the reminder over the weekend to do this
Just a picture of Dixie's shaped nose.
|
She is 18lbs now!
Your welcome! She loves her little Kong . She reminded me of a chicken last night lol! Thank you for all of the advice we appreciate it. Dixie say's Hi
|
Dixie is doing good! She has lost a lot of her curiosity that she had the first 4-5 days. She was into everything and I was not as puppy proofed as I thought! She has had 3 nights in in a row without an accident in her crate. Her 9 weeks shots are Friday. So we will definitely be bringing her out and about. We have actually had quite a bit of visitors and she hasn't barked at all. So I understand now that she just hasn't matured enough to care about the strangers. I will keep you posted on how she is doing!
|
Hi! I was just thinking about you. Dixie is doing wonderful. She is finally fully vaccinated. We had a little delay due to COVID at the vets. But she is now ready to start going to classes and daycare once a week. She is growing so fast. She loves everyone that she meets. And I can't believe how smart she is. She is actually starting to be a little bit of a watch dog. She tends to bark at our shadows at not though She fits in perfectly with our family and I will keep you updated on how she does at class as she tends to get very excited around new people it may be a little challenging lol
Yes she thinks she is a lap dog
Hi Susie! I thought you might like an update on Dixie. She is doing great! She is weighing in at 82lbs just barely 9 months old I can't believe it! She is so fun. She loves running through the yard with her ball and helping us landscape by digging out the roots of some trees in the yard lol. She did wonderful on the 4th of July. Our neighbors were letting off fireworks and she just sat on the couch and wasn't bothered by it all. She is the best dog that we have ever had We would recommend one of your puppies to anyone. Here are some updated pictures
|
Dixie is home and doing well. The vet loves her and said she is such a happy dog. She came home to a new elk antler and a new "baby".
She's great. She is so rough and tough and she loves to cuddle too. All around great dog have a great summer!

Pony ~
Susie,
Rob here.
Pony is the perfect addition to our family. He matches Pooka’s wrestling style nicely. She lets him take anything from her (bones, food, toys). Pooka is already full of little holes from his wrath but she hasn’t put a mark on him.
His vet visit went fine, of course. Everyone comments on how much calmer he is than Pooka. So true. They make a lovely pair and play all day. Photos and videos to follow and a family portrait soon for your Facebook collection.
Rob and Annette N. MN
Must return to dog-sitting...
Happy Rob!
UPDATES:
Hi Susie,
It's great to hear from you! Thank you for checking in with us. Life has been busy with two pups in the house.
We are all having so much fun with Pony. He's a delightful addition to our household! Pooka is wild about Pony and he adores his big sister.
I've posted some photos of Pony and Pooka to my Facebook page. Some additional pictures are attached to this email. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Annette
Hi Susie,
Rob here. Thank you for checking in with us. Things could not be better. Pooka loves playing with Pony all day long. She remains appropriately gentle despite the fierce nature of their mock battle.
I sorted through thousands of recent images this weekend and we have a few choice ones to share. Annette will likely post the edit to Facebook today so if you want any images for yourself just let us know but I don’t want to overwhelm you with emails containing photos considering your internet connection speed issues.
Pony seems very happy with his new home. He bounces around like a bunny rabbit nibbling on this and that. He now sleeps through the night without potty breaks and does a good job of communicating his needs. It is much easier raising the second with the guidance and tuition of the first. We hope your other repeat customers are just as satisfied.
We also hope this note finds you and your family well. I am still quite disappointed we couldn’t make the road trip but flying was so much easier and cheaper. Thank you again for facilitating this travel.
Annette says hello and thank you, as well!
Best,
Rob and Annette and Pooka and Pony
Hello Susie!
I’ve been meaning to email you. Thank you for reaching out.
Pony is a DELIGHTFUL addition to our family! We’re all loving him. Pooka is thrilled to have a baby brother and we’re enjoying having a dog who is calm and snuggly and easygoing. He and Pooka balance each other out nicely! . Pony has decided that I am his human, which means he’s especially sweet to me. I’m just soaking up his love and affection.
Pony is almost 50 pounds now. He’s had his necessary shots so he is visiting the dog park with Pooka. Pony has become good friends with a Norwegian Elkhound puppy named Duncan. Duncan is two weeks older than Pony. Pooka, however, remains Pony’s very best friend. The two of them wrestle like crazy!!
We’re so grateful to have Pony and Pooka keeping us company during the current shutdown. They are wonderful companions! We hope you and your family are safe and enjoying your dogs. Please take care of yourselves. Coronavirus is really scary.
Cheers,
Annette
Our dogs love one another deeply, compliment one another perfectly, and make the most fantastic dog duo Annette or I could ever imagine. Thank you for this!

Hi Susie,
Lovely to hear from you!! All is good at this end. Pooka and Pony continue to bring us great joy. Pony is proceeding through all the stages we saw Pooka go through. Now that Pooka is 2 years old, she's calmed down a lot. Pooka also continues to be a good older sister; she loves to teach Pony new tricks and she's especially good about ratting him out when he's being naughty (though he seems to have left the naughty stage behind). We thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures of the dogs. The first one was taken a few weeks ago at the dog park. The second one was taken just a few minutes ago. The dog park folks share lots of compliments about Pooka's beauty and Pony's relaxed disposition. Rob and I hope you and your family are keeping well. We're also pleased to see you'll have another set of puppies coming soon. Seems like a great time to be a dog breeder! Cheers, Annette Pony is a brute. He topped out near 125 lbs. but our vet techs insisted he lose weight considering he spends much of his life getting in and out of a pick-up truck bed, on and off a bed or sofa, etc. He's losing a little weight now. He is gentle on lead, ferocious when needed, and a general show stopper. Annette typically goes in to shop at (insert store name here) and I stay with the dogs. I let them out of their kennels and Pony promptly stands up tall with his paws on the upright tailgate, his head soaring above mine as I rub his chest. Pook is low key, sneaking in under the space of his elevated chest to solicit kisses. Everyone from MAGA vets to tree huggers like us come by for a visit and a smile. Our vet brought her daughter shopping at Target a few months back when her daughter noticed this Macy's Day Parade sized dog rising up from the back of a truck in the parking lot - "that's Pony", she said to her child,"and Pooka.". Another great small town moment.

Susie,
Rob Morrow of Annette, Pooka, and Pony fame here. Happy birthday to you! I hope this message finds you and your family well. All of us here hope this has been a wonderful day for you. Annette mentioned your recent communication which prompted me to write this long overdue email. Pooka turns four today/tomorrow depending on one's reading of history, time zones, and the midnight hour. She remains a stellar dog of great savvy, tremendous heart, and a committed sense of duty. Pitty lovers fawn over her beauty and her selectively sweet disposition and Pookie eats it up. |

Scout ~
In January 2008, I was on a business trip in San Francisco. I was taking a walk and I spotted the coolest dog I had ever seen. I caught up to the owner who told me it was an Alapaha Bulldog. Of course, I had never heard of the breed. I returned home and did a little bit of research on the breed, but soon found out that I was pregnant with my first child. A dog was out of the question at that time!
Fast forward to Spring of 2019. I have two kids and an enormous Mastiff that we rescued in 2011. My husband brought up the idea of getting a puppy while we still had our older dog. My mom and I discussed it and I told her about the breed I had seen many years ago that was still stuck in my mind. My mom went home and a quick google search of Alapaha Bulldogs led us to FF Fox'S Farm and Susie! And I'm so glad it did.
Susie and I exchanged a few emails and at the time they were expecting a litter in late Spring. After she answered about a thousand of my questions, my mom and I decided to make a trip to visit FF Fox'S Farm to meet Susie and her pack! During our visit, Susie couldn't have been more welcoming and informative. She answered all of our questions and then some. We left her farm and I decided to go ahead and put a deposit down on the next litter, Jack and Lulu's, due sometime in the Fall/Winter 2019.
Through the entire process, Susie kept me up to date on Lulu's progress. Soon enough, Lulu's pregnancy was confirmed, and puppies were born on December 20th.
This is where I truly can't say enough good things about Susie! She sent daily updates of the puppies, along with pictures and videos. She answered EVERY single question I had almost immediately! The daily photos quickly became the highlight of my day. During this time, I was also doing a lot of reading about puppies and choosing a dog. As far as what the experts say to look for in a breeder, Susie checked every box and then some. It is so clear that she cares deeply for the puppies and does everything in her power to provide healthy, well-socialized, affectionate puppies. From raising them in her home, to exposing them to different noises and surfaces, to providing training tips and tricks, to working to start to train each puppy individually, Susie went above and beyond my expectations!
We finally picked up our girl, Scout, on February 16th. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is healthy and smart and definitely a head-turner. Susie has been phenomenal about staying in touch and offering puppy advice when I need it. Additionally, her farm's website provides a wealth of information- everything from in-depth details about this incredible breed, to what type of crate to provide.
I would highly recommend FF'ox'S Farm to anyone who may be considering adding an Alapaha to their family. Our experience was top notch and I'm grateful to have found such a kind, professional and conscientious breeder!

Hi Susie- just letting you know we are home and getting settled in. Scout did great! Barked for a little bit then slept. She's playing now, ate and drank as soon as we got home. I will send photos as soon as I can get some. It's a miracle that you managed to get any photos you sent me because she hasn't been still a minute!! Thanks again for everything!
UPDATES:
Yes- she’s trying! Riggs doesn’t have the energy that Jack has- he’s lazy! But they are getting along really well. Scout is currently sound asleep! What a sweetheart- hoping she sleeps for at least a few hours through the night. Andrew has volunteered to sleep near her tonight. He’s already smitten!
Hi Susie- Scout went to the vet today for her 9 week vaccinations. She gained 3 pounds in a week! She’s doing really well... hope all is well with you!
Hi! We just got back from the vet... she’s 14 lbs now!! Vet said everything is good. She did well for her first night. Andrew slept by her- she woke a couple of times, but no accidents over night! No accidents so far today either... knock on wood! I think she’s really adjusting well considering how young she is!
I certainly will! I’m glad you downloaded the book. It’s a classic... hopefully you’ll love the character Scout as much as I do. She was such a good girl at the vet. Very relaxed in
The office and in the car. She’s a head turner too! Everyone just loves her!
I have to tell you I just took Scout out to potty and I had four people within 10 minutes stop me and compliment me on how beautiful she is. She’s a looker!!

Hi Susie- Scout and I are taking advantage of the warm weather and took our first big walk to my mom’s side of the farm! She is doing really well. Growing like a weed and starting puppy classes in two weeks. She and Riggs are getting along better- still play a little rough for my liking, but Riggs is letting her share his bed and cuddle occasionally. Hope all is well with you and that it is as beautiful at your place as it is here today! C’mon Springtime!
Scout and Riggs are settling in nicely! I’m not quite sure what happened last night. She was doing so well... we are back on track today. I took my son to basketball practice and my husband was here... I blame him!
Thank you for the advice. That’s what we’ve been doing. Trying to be very consistent and taking her out after every activity, whether it’s sleeping, eating, playing... she goes outside after each one. She’s doing much better in the crate. I think she’s starting to trust that we are coming back! She’s a trip! We’re having fun- but it’s exhausting. I will never understand how you did this for 8 weeks with 10 puppies! Hi Susie- Scout went to the vet this morning to get her rabies and distemper vaccines. That will be our last outing for a while due to the “social distancing” happening right now. Hope you guys are doing well- and I’m sure you’re like me, happy to be living on a farm with lots of space!! Anyway, Scout is doing very well. Nearly 25 lbs now. She had her first puppy class last week. She did wonderfully- maybe I’m biased, but ii think she was the best one there (and definitely the cutest!!) Here is a photo of Scout enjoying the daffodils and sunshine. Take care of yourselves and stay safe!
Hi Susie- hope you all are well and staying healthy! Today we took Scout to Assateague Island- her first time seeing the ocean! She loved it- especially digging in the sand! Here are a few photos from the day!
Here she is running on the sand bar in the bay!
Scout living her best life on the Bay!
Hi Susie- thought you’d like to see this. Scout is a hero! She found this Eagle and was such a good girl. She listened so well when I called her back from the eagle! Left him alone and came right to me! I don’t know if the eagle will survive, but it certainly wouldn’t have had a chance if it weren’t for Scout!!
Happy thanksgiving to you and yours! We are thankful for our first Thanksgiving with this girl! Hope you all are happy and healthy and have a wonderful holiday!
We are all doing well here. Scout is great. My kids are still in virtual school and Scout “attends class” with my son regularly!
Hi Susie! Good to hear from you. I'm enjoying seeing photos of your new addition. He's a cutie!! Thanks for the update on Lexy. I'm hoping for a healthy pregnancy! Yes- we would like a full brother for Scout if the timing is right. Today we are watching the Air Show in Ocean City from our boat.
We had to get her a life preserver because she jumped overboard last year! She could swim just fine but we couldn't get her into the boat bc she was heavy! Now she has a handle! Lol! Today we celebrate the birthday girl! She is not amused by her birthday hat.
Scout on the boat!! She loves the breeze!
Hey Susie- just wanted to send this photo of Buster and Scout! They are starting to bond… I think Scout has accepted that he’s here to stay! All is well- Buster is still not exactly getting potty training, but I know we will get there so I’m not too worried about it. Hope all is well with you!
Buster won that round!

Hi Susie- just checking in. Scout is doing very well! She is super smart and has already mastered sit... working on stay. She is doing better in her crate too. Hopefully soon she will be able to make it through the night without needing one of us there with her.... here are some photos. One is Scout with Riggs practicing sitting. The other is Scout outside on a big rock in front of our home.
Hi Susie! Hope you had a nice weekend. Wanted to send you a photo of Scout’s first Ranger ride today. She did great! She’s being exposed to lots of noises and experiences. She’s taking it all in stride. She knows sit, lay down and shake. She’s a quick learner! Hope all is well with you!
Hi Susie- Scout and Riggs are enjoying the nice weather and a ride on the golf cart. They are happy pups! We are super glad to have Scout to entertain us during this “social isolation!” Hard to be bored with a puppy in the house. Hope you are all safe and well.
Hi Susie! Happy Easter from our family to yours! Scout is doing very well. Getting big! We absolutely adore her and she’s been such a wonderful addition to our family. Having her has certainly helped us cope with the stay at home orders!! Here are a few photos from her this morning. She got a new ball for Easter! She’s definitely spoiled! Hope you and your family are safe and well. Happy Easter!
And she learned a new trick. It took her about 1 minute to learn. She’s very smart.
My son actually taught her. He came up with the idea of getting her a bell. We have got to come up with some more tricks for her to learn! She knows sit, lay down, Shake and speak.... and sometimes stay! The adventures of Scout continue... last night she took her first boat ride. She did amazing!! I cannot get over how well she does with new things. She hopped on the boat like she owns the place!! She’s a gem!
Hi Susie- thought you’d get a kick out of this. I came outside and found Scout like this!
Hi Susie- hope all is well! Scout’s adventures continue. We took her camping in the mountains this past weekend. She did great! Here are a few photos.
She’s a beauty!! She takes good care of the kids too. How are the puppies?? They are getting so big. I guess they will be going to their new homes soon... Yes it does! Congratulations on another beautiful and healthy litter. I hope all of the new families are as happy as we are with out Scout! Take care!! *Our Scout Thought you'd like to see these photos of our beautiful Scout!
Hi Susie- thought you'd like to see my sons Halloween costume- Alfalfa and Petey from the Little Rascals!
Here are Riggs, and Scout, enjoying the warm weather!
Hi Susie! Happy Independence Day! Scout and Buster are enjoying their time on the Bay! Hope all is well with you!

Al likes to describe our adventure like this.... Yesterday, on Valentine’s Day, him and I left on a two day heist to Pennsylvania to get a “rock”. Welcome to the family Rock! Thanks to @foxsfarmalapahas for our amazing new family member! 💎 🐶 🐾
We are home. No issues at all. Made a couple stops to take walks. He's eaten. And played with coop and my kids. He's taking a nap now

We had several Coyotes move through. They where in the back ditch. Rock was up half the night telling us they were there. You could hear the coyotes yip and howl, and Rock would bark at them Was cute, If a little sleep depriving.

I’m home! Met lots of people and my playmate Cooper. He’s not real sure of me, but I love to chase after him! 🐕 🐶 🐾
I’m in training to be a barn/stable dog. I’ve been going to work with one of my humans and learning the job. I’ve met some other stable/farm dogs that are showing me the way. 🐶 🐾 🐎 🚜

Sparkle ~
She's here
It went ok, she slept for a couple of hours at a time. She cried a lot when we put her in the crate so I slept on the floor for a while by the crate until she fell asleep. She and Bamboo are the best of friends and are playing really well together. I'll send some pics of them.

These are crazy times we are living in. We're on lockdown here in Santa Cruz, but all is well. We are enjoying our time with the baby. Even the cat!
We just received the paperwork and these two are playing with one of the toys you sent. Thanks so much.
Trinity River dogs!
Shut up and kiss me
Let’s play little cute Corgie friend.

Last round of shots for the puppy. She’s already 30lbs. Wow!
Today was a big day! First, the beaches of Santa Cruz were reopened after being closed for a week due to the Covid19 virus, which meant Sparkle puppy had her first day playing at our neighborhood beach. After the beach, Sparkle got her first shower too. Now she is all tuckered out and smells like apples. Big day for the baby!
My favorite color is sunset

Sparkle’s first day with her new family. 💜 Bamboo is in love and being really sweet. They are already two peas in a pod.
New BFF’s. They cuddle, they sleep, they play, they follow each other around. She loves she! 🌀💤💙
Bamboo chillaxin’ as sparkle digs to China.
The puppy woke up to cow pastures today. She’s not too sure of those cows out there!
One year ago, we picked up our Sparkle Tina for the first time. She has brought so much sparkle and light during a dark time.
She has been the best for our 12 year old Bamboo. He’s a new dog with her around. We 💖 you Sparkle! Here’s looking at you kid 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

LuLu ~
Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us today! We are so excited to bring her home! We enjoyed getting to know you and your amazing dogs also. We'll be sure to send pictures and keep you posted as to how she is doing!
Green Collar Girl has arrived in her new home adjusting well so far. Car ride was long but she handled it well only a little throw up car sickness I think! The kids are leaning towards naming her after her mother LuLu
Mark Daly and Family PA
UPDATES:
Hi Susie! It's Heather....Mark is outside grilling at the moment. LuLu is doing great! She has been a great addition to the family and such an affectionate dog! We are giving her limited crate time during the day to get her used to when we eventually will get back to work. She is doing well sleeping in her crate at night and usually gets up between 4-5 am. We had her at the vet yesterday to get her vaccinations and she will go back again in 3 weeks. She definitely is getting lots of attention during our walks from neighbors and strangers.
Lulu relaxing by the fire pit! She is doing great!
Lulu is doing great! Recently was spayed a few weeks back there's a pic in her cone of shame! The other two are of her today! Super smart, high energy she is still on puppy food when should we transition? She has some separation anxiety with me but all of us home for Covid might be the reason. And a little bit of a digger outside if left alone. Otherwise she is a love!
|
We couldn't be more thrilled to have her! So glad we were able to connect with you - you have raised incredibly awesome dogs! Here she is today getting a little sun outside with us

Noelle still knows "Get your ice"
|
See the nerf gun desensitizing all for a good reason!
Forgot to tell you Noelle started being protective about 2 weeks ago..saw my husband walking down our gravel driveway it's a out 1000 ft long to the paved road..she sat right next to me when she saw him coming under out a couple quick low barks..once she could smell/see it was him she immediately started wagging her tail and ran to him
Nora is so jealous of Noelle...Nora was like no way not going on mower..but once Noelle jumped right up ..now fight to be there

Yukon Jack ~
You are the best! He's so big haha we love it
Michael Munro and Heather CA
UPDATES:
Things are going good. He still hasn't stopped whining in his crate but I gave him a lot more room in there and have been running with him twice a day on top of the house play we do and that has help a ton. He is a show stopper though everyone wants to say hi to him.
Awesome. The only thing is getting him fixed. All hospitals have stopped that procedure due to the virus.. but besides that he's been such a good dog the past few days. Him and Ruby are getting closer by the day and the crate training has been getting way better.
He has just been the best. Only real issue is he just doesn't like when we are not home and we are guessing it's only going to get worse when we do finally go back to work. I'm going to start taking him to day care a couple times a week so hopefully he knows it's okay that we leave. Other than that he is so sweet. Our protector but also our scared little man too. He brings us so much joy
Hi Susie! Just got done watching some of your videos I just love seeing all the adults. I see so much of Yukon in all of them.. the video at the beach in Texas was very cute. I'm currently in Florida working so I'm missing my four legged friends very much. I hope you are doing very well and your son gets his Challanger that he wants haha Take care

Stella ~
Everything went well, with Stella today. Her and Arlo are doing great! He is really excited about her. We are worried his pawing and excitement might hurt her, so we are supervising their playtime closely. The only gate we don’t have up, is the one we ordered for the kitchen. It will be here Monday. Thinking, once that arrives, we can give her some “without Arlo” playtime in there. I’ll probably be needing advice from time to time, with these two.
Kelly Cameron OH
UPDATES:
We were a little behind, on getting Stella to her first appointment, but she went today and did great, and all is well. 16 pounds and growing.
I like her spirit. She can be a pistol, playing with Arlo. She can be in the middle of some serious playtime, and I’ll snatch her up, and she instantly becomes chill and starts kissing me! I love it. She can turn it off that quick. Arlo doesn’t do that. He stays wound up for a few
Stella met the goats today. I just took her up to their fence to let her sniff them. It’s still chilly, so I didn’t want her out there long. The girls brought the goats onto the patio, even though they aren’t supposed to, so Stella got to check them out through the sliding glass door. Though it is covered in Arlo’s muddy paw prints. Lol

I'm in wrinkle heaven
The goats aren’t sure what to think of the mini Arlo
She melts, like butter, for a belly rub
She will lay here, like this, as long as I keep rubbing. Btw, they are both adjusting well to the invisible fence. She is hilarious with the goats, playing in our woods, and all the time. She barks at them, but I think they would win a battle. Haha
Stella got to meet Hazel. She is the dog that will be moving in next door that used to come over and jump into Arlo’s fenced area. All this quarantine hasn’t allowed me to socialize her. Some of my son’s friends camped here, in the woods, and brought their dogs. Arlo and Stella have fun. One giant doggy play date. We hardly ever put them in that fenced area. It’s only for when we aren’t out there. They love to run and chase each other all over the property. One will grab a stick, and then they both kinda tease each other and play with it. Both wanting the same stick. As if there are a million sticks laying around. They crack me up. They are just like two kids. I took a pics of the dogs sleeping at my feet, on the bed. It wasn’t until after I zoomed in, that I noticed Arlo was asleep, with his suckle blanket IN HIS MOUTH. Hahahaha
This was her, last Friday. He wasn’t in the mood, but she wanted him. You can hear her wimpering. On the bright side, she gets all the attention out side of our room
|
Here is a good one of Stella from April 15thz
She is so laid back!
I love rubbing her soft belly. She seems to love everything! Clyde doesn’t mind Stella, for now lol
Stella is Arlo’s shadow, outside. She follows him everywhere he goes
She’s a sweet girl, and he is patient with her. I cut this video way down, for you. We get the fake rawhide bones, and they both get one. Stella prefers hers to be partially chewed, by Arlo, first. She waited patiently, for the longest time. She kept looking at her “not chewed bone”, but chose to wait. Finally, Arlo released a chewed piece for her. She is very happy.
I didn’t want to get too close, because they would have come to me. They were both, sitting in the sun, soaking up the warmth together. I just had to show you.
Stella seems to be doing good, after surgery. I haven’t tried to feed her yet, we just got home. She didn’t puke, in the car, on the way there or back, so that’s a first. She road the whole way home, with her head snuggled next to Mazie. I took some pics, but they are blurry. I’ll share them anyway.
I took a pic of her, a few days ago, and meant to share it with you. She lays, all the time, on her back.

Arlo ~
Awww, if I could have, I would have gotten more than one. Maybe, in the future, we can get Arlo a buddy. He seems happy with us though. He likes to follow me around and crawls in my lap, anytime he has the chance. I took a picture of him in my lap today. I am imagining him sitting on my lap a year from now. I’ll have to compare how well he fits. Haha
Kelly Cameron OH
UPDATES:
Oh he LOVES back yard! He is venturing further and further into the yard daily. We are outside a lot, except for the rain. I was impressed he didn’t have issues with going out to potty in the pouring rain! He has also learned he can push the screen door open, when it’s not locked. Although he does have accidents in the house, three times he has pushed the door open and went straight to the grass to pee. Very impressive for such a young puppy, I think.
He actually only greeted me once. I hardly leave the house. I ran some errands yesterday, while Mike was home. When I got back, he was so happy to see me and ran up to me all excited. Made me feel good. We have bonded really well. He is a Sweety. A very chewy sweety, but he is catching on quick to things he can’t have. He loves tags!! Tags on anything!
He goes on the trampoline without the kids now. He just goes up there to play on his own.

Arlo went on his first camping trip! He did great! He was a little anxious, at first, with so many people and pets around. He adjusted well, and slept on his blanket on the floor in the camper. He liked the beds too. Mazie loves him so much. He sure has grown! She adores him. He loved it. After his first time, he just kept getting back in. He goes where I go. If I’m in the water, he wants to be there. If I’m out, he sits by me. He never even tried to wander off either. He always kept his eye on me.
It’s just me, looking down from the tree house Mike is building. Mazie and Arlo are looking back up at me. The look on both of their faces just touches my heart. She is always loving on him and he loves on her too. I have a picture of him sitting in the tree house with Mike. He climbed the ladder. It looks like he is guarding it. It’s so cute. I’ll send it too, but might be a while to download. I can’t believe he climbed the ladder. Even the goats won’t climb it. I think that shows the love for us. He just wants to be with us, no matter where we are.
Arlo says there is room for one more back there.
This is the “normal” bed laying positions.
Arlo knows that I don’t like him on my bed, when I’m sorting and folding laundry. He lays on stuff and kicks it over, and that makes mom not happy. I was doing laundry yesterday. I walked in the room, with a new load, and found him like this. Hahaha! He snuck in my bed, and curled up in a way to make sure he wasn’t touching anything. I thought he was adorable and clever, so he got to stay on the bed.
|
Arlo is having a play date with my friends dog. This dog belonged to my friend that passed away. The one we named Arlo after.
Canoeing really wears him out. At one point, he jumped on the back of the canoe, and put his head on my shoulder.
He is so big now, that we get a canoe and a tandem kayak to carry all of us. I want to share a little video with you, that I made. It’s Arlo and Clyde. I thinks it’s hilarious. Clyde thinks he is the animal alpha around here. Apparently, Arlo agrees. Arlo is so laid back about it. He would never harm the fuzzy kitties.
I took this from inside the garage. It’s hard to get good pics because they all look at me. He was playing house with the girls. They were making puppy stew. Did I tell you he gets on their swings and swings himself? Hahaha
I’m laying on it. Then Arlo jumped on. Then Stella was trying to get on. I had to give her a little boost. They are both still laying here with me just as happy as can be. I think we are at the weight limit for this thing. Haha. They are keeping me warm.
Much to my surprise, Arlo is only 92.8 pounds
We are at his annual check up He is so excited about going bye bye. He loves riding in the car and going places. I thought for sure he was 100 pounds My handsome coffee buddy

He really has such a great personality. He loves everyone that comes to the house. We are really trying to socialize him. He's just so sweet. Everyone says it.
Susie, all of the new puppies are beautiful. If Janine would let me i'd pick out another male immediately. Buck would love them!! Fyi, Buck is doing great, just over ten months old now and such a beast.(in the best sense of the word of course!) We love him.

Bty my vet thought you were very thorough and very impressed with the info sent and the vet passport! And her socialization!I told him what a wonderful experience it had been and how lucky we were to find you, especially with this being our first out of state puppy!! And how much care and commitment you have to your dogs/ puppies. He filled out her 2nd vaccination and put under your worming section that her fecal float today was negative. Thank you!

Hoss ~
He's fine. My wife said he is taking the house on a room-by-room basis. Is now comfortable in half the house. Also no potty accidents yet! And she gave him a bath and he apparently loved it.
He's bound and determined to introduce himself to every flower in our backyard. Seems to be looking for one that will play with him. No luck so far. Lucky for him, we had a very rainy spring so he's got approx 2,000 flowers left to meet.
He’s like the Prodigal Son. Likes to test me to see how much mischief he can make and still be welcomed back with open arms. Each morning, during his witching hour, he likes to pretend as though he’s forgotten what we discussed the previous morning about shoes.
Jeremy Wooden CA
UPDATES:
All good here in locked-down LA. Hoss actually had his castration surgery yesterday. He's been doing fine except he is unwilling to accept the Elizabethan collar. It's been fine though because he hasn't tried to lick his stitches. He looked like a buckin bronco when I put that thing on him last night. We'll have to try the collar again if he start licking.
Before the city went on lockdown, I loaded up on about dozen bones to keep him occupied. (Turns out I didn’t need to because pet stores are exempted from lockdown order, but Hoss is happy!)
That's a good sign huh?Yes, that's the pacific Ocean back there.
42 lbs! And he was totally unfazed on the 4th when there were at least 200 firework shows in the LA basin within earshot of our house. Thanks for firing that shotgun! I’m going to get an NRA banner to hang on his night time crate.
|
Hoss wanted me to wish you Happy Donut Day
He's been doing Shake since he got off the plane from PA!
Hoss is not exactly Michael Phelps in the water, but he loves the beach!
|
My youngest sometimes throws small toys in there. He's accepted the responsibility to retrieve them. Yup. He's either fearless or really dumb. That is a painful bush!
Before the city went on lockdown, I loaded up on about dozen bones to keep him occupied. (Turns out I didn’t need to because pet stores are exempted from lockdown order, but Hoss is happy!)
His girlfriend came back to visit today. He is a world-class flirt. He should write how-to dating guides for single dogs.
They've been frolicking for the past three hours. I'm most impressed with how he's conformed to her mild appetite for rough play. The first time they played, he'd occasionally get a tad rough and she'd Yelp or nip back at him. He's evolved. He knows her boundaries now and doesn't cross them. He pushes them but doesn't cross them. He weighed 92 lbs at the vet this morning!
He also likes to wrestle
This guy has had a 2nd growth spurt. Weighs at least 110. Not sure exactly. I weigh 290. My scale maxes out at 400 and we just maxed it out.
Hoss would like his parents to know that, at 2 yrs old, he is biggest, strongest, smartest, cleverest, and best-looking pup his parents ever birthed/sired.
Hoss is eating fresh Ahi Tuna tonight. He loves it.
There is an uptick in crime in our neighborhood because our politicians are insane. People ask me if I’m worried about it, I explain I have a dog who “vets” anyone who walks into our property. People ask me to explain, and I can’t really, other than if he doesn’t know you he’s gonna come at you like you’re about to die and the only way to get out of the situation is to freeze until he shoves his nose in your crotch, exhales slowly, and let’s you move again. He is 100% effective with this technique. It is amazing. Every man I’ve seen subjected to it knows by the end of the process they are Hoss’s bitch. If they have ill-motives, they will have to satisfy them on a different piece of property. I got up one morning at about 3 am. I leave Hoss laying in bed. About 3:30 am I open the front door. He comes flying off the bed, charges out in front of me, and chased 5 or 6 coyotes out of our driveway. I was worried I was going to lose him if he kept chasing and then he would be outnumbered. Nope. He chased them up the driveway to the end of the street, turned around, jogged down the driveway, marked his territory, walked in the house, jumped back in bed, fell asleep. Coyotes have never wandered down our driveway since then. do you hsve badgers? Hoss is fixin to tangle with the badgers around here. digs in their holes. so far no incident because i call him back with the e-collar, which he has to have because local DNR will shoot him if he chases deer.
Susie, maybe you already knew this but just in case I forgot to mention it: even though Hoss was not the pick of his litter, Hoss is ABSOLUTELY 100% THE MOST ATHLETIC DOG IN THE WORLD (let alone his litter) so I’m sure he would survive the encounter with a badger. Though part of me is curious to see how an encounter would go, the smarter part of me does not want to chance having to pay a vet several thousand to patch up Hoss’s face if he happened to get too close to the badger’s claws. Hoss has proven he couldnt care less about a racoon’s claws. He has a knack for cornering jack-rabbits. Huge incredibly fast jack-rabbits (3-4 feet tall). Hoss gets them along a tree line and somehow tricks them into zig-zagging into Hoss’s path. It must be some sort of herd instinct he has to direct the rabbit toward one of his brothers but since Hoss is alone he has to play two herd roles by himself. Craziest dog thing I’ve ever seen. |
Hoss has been playing with this grasshopper for more than an hour
Everything is great! Hoss was just in the middle of playing rollovers when you texted!
Hoss is a strategic genius. He is the General Patton of the canine world. This photo is the culmination of a 20-month long guerrila warfare campaign that brilliantly wore away my wife’s ironclad refusal to ever allow any dog on a couch (Krista is a Type A neat freak who despises dog hair on people surfaces).
tactics included: - Sitting next to her for hours, staring mopingly into her eyes as she sat on the couch (manipulated her it into feeling she was the bad guy) - putting his front paws or chest on the couch while arrogantly grinning when she yelled at him to get off (like a teenage boy trying to get to “1st base”) - occasionally jumping on the couch and growling at her (his most brazen act, as if to say “I’m offering you a bunch of easy ways to do this but you should remember I’m a savage beast”) A few weeks ago, I witnessed a new tactic. Krista was taking a nap. Hoss must’ve figured out she’s a light napper. Easily awoken. He spent 15 minutes painstakingly inching his way up onto the couch and cozying up next to her. She kicked him off the second she woke up. But he knew he’d won that battle because it sowed a seed of doubt in her, “if he can covertly infiltrate a couch I’m on without me knowing it is there any point to my defense systems?”
Hoss was a very good RV National Park adventurer.
It's 4:42 am and he's already made quick work of his first birthday bone.
Susie, please tell Hoss's parents that he now has a 1st girlfriend. She's not much to look at and her personality has ample room to grow but they are very attached and he is remarkably devoted to her and protective of her. We are so proud of him!
My wife asks me when he is going to “grow up” because he still does puppy things like bring balls to her to play fetch (12 times per day). I tell her he will go to the grave a puppy because I run him every day on the bike and play rough with him (wrestling type stuff). I had a pit bull once who couldn’t handle that. He would forgot I was his master once I played with him. Hoss has no problem with it so it’s like he has a master who sometimes lets him remember what it was like to have siblings. Keeps him fresh.
I think of that picture on your website all the time with an Alapaha sitting on an older woman’s lap. He tries that everyday when I’m working from home. I have to tell him he’s not a lapdog. Too big. |

Skye ~
She is adjusting well. Violet is teaching her boundaries. She is super smart and catches on quick. Everyone loves her. Even if she thinks we are all her own personal chew toy... She really enjoys being outside... today the kids and the dogs spent at least 90 minutes roaming around the yard and she wanted to stay out there. Not doubt she will be tuckered out for the rest of the night. Sweet girl? Tiny terror is more like it! We LOVE her
Duane and Crystiann Foote NY
She is growing beautifully She is learning..and growing and we could not be happier!
We are so lucky to have Skye! She is so incredibly intelligent, well mannered and inquisitive!
She is the best!
She is so good! She comes.. she sits. She drops it... heals. Lays down and gives paw... among other things!.
Super smart!
By the way... this road trip includes a lot of outdoors and a lot of people.. she is like a like Alapaha ambassador!
People are no longer confusing her for a pit bull.. they see a bulldog.. but they are not sure what kind! So... while her beauty and behavior are recognized... I do the speaking for her!
I love that... even though she has no experience with small children.... she is kind and gentle with them.
Protection is innate. The doctor had to come over to take a look at Duane's ankle. Skye was immediately untrusting of this stranger. The doctor has animals and was working on gaining Skye's trust. A food 15 minutes of general conversation... and Skye sniffing and getting closer...
Skye was barking and sniffing... very nervous about sudden movements from the doctor. Eventually, we made it into the house. All if fine. Doctor moves to Duane to examine his ankle... Skye. Place herself on between Duane and the doctor and gave a low menacing growl.... Protecting her pack. Just wanted to share thesis story.
I found her behavior interesting. And I liked it. She was not aggressive in any way.
Well.. like.. she did not snap or bite. She was just very protective.. Skye has been suspicious of a few people.
Some people she allows in without a second look. But there are 2 couples.. that she does not like at all.
She such a mushy loving sweet dog.

A boy and his dog..
First Snow
She is so gorgeous. People cant stop staring at her.. got about and inch She can be sweet and gentle. It is endearing. (Emphasis on CAN)
The best! Stoic and foreboding... for those she does not know. And can I just say.. the physique on this animal... you can not help but stare at her when she moves With the stay at home order we do a lot of walking with her. People literally stop their cars and compliment her Too much. If one person leaves she is pacing and checking up until they get back. She is currently waiting for Duane to come home
A pure ABBB smile 🐾😁
Her mental and physical agility are unmatched!
You can't sit with us.

Been a really long day
Puppy manners graduationShe is an amazing girl. Smart, alert, curious.... a bit mischievous at times. But she has learned so much so fast.
An impressive animal. When in public... people are in awe! Her beauty and her behavior. She is a little skittish around some people. Not sure why. Had friends over two weeks ago. And it took over an hour and many treats for her to warm up. But.. another set up friends came by this weekend and I was nervous and prepared them.. but she greeted them with a wagging tail and many sloppy kisses How much do I have to curl up.. to fit on ones lap? 60 pounds of awesome!
For your review page... I would say they are successfully bonded. While my senior mini dachshund had very little patience with the bumbling overgrown puppy.... Skye worked her way into Violets heart. They are so bonded. Thay one will whine for the other if there is an obstacle between them
Only taken about a year.. But I think they are friends now.
Lazy Sunday morning...
Skye... did so good last night! Our neighborhood was popping and booming for over an hours from all angles. We sat outside... and she never even flinched. They just completed a 2.5 miles walk. And Skye had her first off leash experience. She was allowed 50 feet to come between us. And WOW. The speed and power....

Peaches, Cupcake and Sunshine ~
Piles of puppies! The girls slept they the night and all did pretty well this morning with the potty training. Andy worked from home today and said they are settling in!
Wendy and Andy R. NY
UPDATES:
Yeah, they're pretty amazing. And I'm getting plenty of kisses!
I'm pretty happy. They're keeping me busy and on my toes, but we're getting top know each other having a blast! How'd you handle 21???
They're getting into a pretty good routine... kick daddy's ass all day long!!!
Nah it's okay. They're all so sweet. They love swarming me when I sit in the pen or on the grass. They're all answering and coming when called... although sometimes selectively.
And they all want individual attention. Sometimes someone still be barking in the crate. All they want is to sit or sprawl on my lap, and give kisses. Peaches does the funniest thing, when she's on my lap, if I blow in her face, she puts her hand over my mouth!
They are really cute, but what a handful! They're all developing different personalities and at the same time their all very much the same... they all want daddy time, they all want to go up and down the slide, and they ask love to play in the dirt!
That was a screenshot from a video wendy took. I'll ask her to send it to you. I was drowning in puppies!
What's crazy is that i know when they're full grown, they're gonna do the same thing!
So, Peaches plays the part of the baby... and she knows how to get her way already. She's also the biggest instigator with her sisters!
Cupcake is very daring.
Sunshine is more thoughtful... she'll sit and just stare at us, or watch an airplane cross the sky.

Peaches thinks the lounge chair is hers!
Wendy has a video we just tried to send. Will send again... it shows me being taken advantage of, big time! Ok it’s sent! Extremely funny!
Finally got good harnesses to walk the girls with !
Cupcake finally trusted to sleep out of the crate last nite next to her sister! Sunshine still loves sleeping g in her crate…took this pic they our ‘baby cam”!
Cupcake curled up next to pEaches when sunshine went into her crate to go to sleep ! She kept looking at me as if to say I think I’m ready to sleep here tonight. So we figured we’d try it. Hopefully that will become the norm for her! Then the only crating will be when we are gone at work. Happy Thanksgiving from us in NY to all of you!
|
Need to work w them separately and they should pick it up quickly! Yes I’ve been using the clicker but I forgot to bring it . It was pretty spontaneous ...I just started doing it and she was quick to respond.
Hers a cute video of Peaches from today when she was being silly and not whiny!
This is my every morning, except Saturday. That's Wendy's turn!
3 is an unbelievable handful, and it's definitely harder to train them, but they're so much fun to be with, so different too. I can't wait till we can sit on the couch with them Susie, is Sunshine gonna be 1 on March 2, 3, or 4? And what are Peaches and Cupcakes birthdays? I can't believe they're gonna be 1!!!
Omg. They're still technically babies, right? They're so sweet. And all so different. But when I come they each want daddy time. They're doing really well in the leash too. We go out for a walk up the block, one at a time. It's really cool. I really want to let them come into the bedroom at night or to hang out in the living room, but wendy says not yet Thanks again! Our latest video...
Well there’s this too Yes she often stops all four paws in air and waits for the ultimate belly rub! Good students! Especially Peaches! Thanks Susie! This will crack you up!!!
Cupcake thinks she is a lapdog Susie! I know! So cute...she always wants to sit in his lap!
|
This is really funny to watch!!!
Happy Mother’s Day Susie! Tell Leia and Lilly their babies said Happy mommy’s day too ! A little outdoor time in the heat of the afternoon !
Play Have a happy Thanksgiving Susie!!!!
Here are Sunshine and Cupcake outside on their walks ... I guess I don’t have a pic of Peaches out front yet...
Hi Susie ! It’s been a while- here are some short videos from this afternoon . Just trying to keep up on their obedience !

Wade ~
Best experience from beginning to end! Susie is so attentive to the pups, training with them on the leash, potty bells, responding to their names, bathing. Answering all of my many questions thoroughly with video demonstrations about how to continue training when the pup gets back home. We got pictures from the moment mama went into labor daily and looked forward to them every day for eight weeks. We picked up Wade yesterday and he didn't make a sound on our 5.5 hour ride home. Evening of day two and no accidents in the house yet. He has been giving me a little yelp when he needs to go out. He has demonstrated strong nerves already responding lovely to my 3 young children all over him poking and prodding. Thanks so much Susie! Aleesa and Ian S. NJ
UPDATES:

Yeah they all tire each other out, haha. He's starting to turn a corner as far as puppyish behaviors like chewing and stuff, always rings his pottybells, never has accidents inside anymore and is the BEST watch dog ever!

Roxy & Mollie ~
Finally headed off to be after a long trip back and then letting them play in the backyard. They had tons of energy.
Absolutely love them!
Thanks again! Ben Smith CA
UPDATES:
Friends to the end. Can't wait to take them to the river, when they're a little bigger. Also can't wait til they're potty trained!
And yea Mollie is very funny to watch. Way too cute! And I've never puppies that are so good with adults. They are so perfect! Keep you posted on things. Talk soon. I meant adult dog. Not humans.
Thanks Susie! The crate we already have is perfect size. It has a divider. They haven't went potty in it the past 3 nights! I've been taking them out at least every hour. Sometimes every half hour. They pee a lot! They've been being such good girls!
Everything is going great. Roxy is always getting into things and doing stuff she shouldn't be, and Mollie is just sweet and innocent. We are having a great time with them. Been taking them to the lakes and rivers a lot. I will send some updated pics soon. I haven't been taking many.

Had to send you this!
These are older, but Mollie loves Stella. It's really cute. She's such a sweetheart
|
Roxy listens really well, but Mollie is oblivious and not fond of listening. I think it used to be the opposite. Mollie is really funny to train. Once the training gets too tough, she just wants to go do something else, or she'll just bark at you and not want to obey anything. So I've been doing her in shorter segments, her attention span is pretty short. We absolutely loves these girls though, couldn't ask for better dogs.

Grendel ~
Grendel is here! We've got him and are driving him home Gail Folsom MO
UPDATES:
Hi Susie! Things are going great! Grendel is very smart and doing really well adjusting. Hasn't gone potty inside in almost a week now, gained almost 3lb and had his second round of shots. We're working on leash training and basic clicker commands. Here's a quick one I took for my mom the other day - I'll send you a better one later

We're working on leash training and basic clicker commands. Here's a quick one I took for my mom the other day - I'll send you a better one later
With big sister Meli
Getting to be such a handsome big boy! You can start to see what he’ll look like when he’s all grown up - you can’t see his face wrinkles very well in these photos but he’s got the cutest wrinkles all across his snoot
Oh he figured it out on his own. We’re in the process of untraining him to do it
Hahaha brains and beauty Hi Susie! Thanks for checking in. We're doing really well - Grendel is a very healthy good boy. We love him very much. He's very obedient And easy to train, although we are currently working on not getting up on the kitchen counters when no one is around… We took him in to get neutered a couple weeks ago week and everything went perfectly. He's all healed up now and never even licked his stitches from what I can see. Here he is ignoring fireworks...
Everyone tells us what a pretty boy he is . He's very gentle and affectionate. He is not fond of strangers but he is not aggressive in the slightest and since we're so far out in the country it's not a stress factor for him. More practically- we’ve started letting our 3 month old chickens fer range and he is amazing about not chasing or antagonizing them
He doesn’t even startle when they squawk and flap away - he’s so good Absolutely! He is an amazing dog - we are so very happy we found your kennel and definitely want to share how he’s developing Happy spooky season from Grendel!
|
Just being cute!
Grendel came to work with me today. He's not a very good intern. But his coworkers like him
I think his way of running down stairs is hilarious
It’s a work in progress but he’s such a good boy
Totally! This is the trick he’s had the hardest time figuring out. Most other trucks he’s gotten in just a few tries
He stole a Carolina Reaper off the counter
The foot touching - in many ways he reminds me of a big cat. We have a tiger sanctuary about 5 miles away from us that we visit on the regular and Scott and I agree that he has some very tiger-like traits He’s SUCH a smart boy - one more video He's such a good boy - we love him
We just got a 3 month old sheepdog puppy and Grendel is being amazing-so gentle and sharing his toys. Just welcomed the baby right into the house. Amazing dog.

He follows me around everywhere and sleeps in the bed, right up next to my head. he's a sweet puppy. Wants to play with the cat but it doesn't like him very much. She tolerates him being there. I guess she'll eventually get used to him. Dave Fox PA
UPDATE:
Hi Susie,
Bucky's doing well. I took him to get his shots the other day. He's 50 pounds! I got him microchiped. He wants to jump in my the truck and go with me. Bucky sure likes to ride. He is a sweet guy. We walked to our stream and he went to the deeper part and went all the way under haha. I don't think that he was expecting that! then he played where he could touch the bottom.

Pookie ~
Susie,
Rob here. Pookie had a remarkable first full day in Minnesota. She met with students, staff, and faculty at Carleton College. She visited four elderly friends in their home. She was held or greeted by at least 40 individuals living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and another twenty staff. She spent an hour being adorable for another friend and her son. She was well behaved with all. She got in plenty of play with me and feedings with naps. Potty breaks galore. She is sleeping 4+ hours at a stretch through the night and prefers sleeping on my pillow or my face. Bowel movements are firm and regular and she seems to pee three times per outing that include a bm.
This watch dog imprint is fascinating! She ALWAYS waits and reflects before acting. The second time she hears a sound that scared her the first time she is no longer scared (leaf blower, laundry, trucks on the highway). She takes corrections very well and is easily shifted from biting me to biting a toy (she prefers your fish and the Kong pacifier). The front stoop is already her domain and she defended it against 100lb. male bully bulldog today who dragged his whispy owner across 50 yards of lawn to see Pook. He backed her into a corner by our front door looking a lot scarier than Jack at that weight. He came within one foot of her face and Pook did not welcome it. She growled and held her ground. Unbelievable. All was well after that and when she’s bigger we’ll see if they can be wrestling buddies but I don’t know these people or this dog so I will evaluate the intelligence behind this hope in time.
I am letting her know who is boss, gently. She’s awake now, gotta go. Photos coming soon!
Best,
Rob - MN

Hi Susie,
Just letting you know we’re doing great here!
The vet thought Pookie was “top quality.” She’s done pet therapy for all three days she’s been in Minnesota. Everyone LOVES Pookie!
Rob has been taking all kinds of great pictures of Pookie. We’ll send some this weekend. For now, here’s one from my phone of the baby sleeping. Stay tuned for some better quality photos.
Cheers,
Annette
Dear Susie, Hope you've been having a lovely holiday season! We've been quite busy on this end but all is well. Pookie is growing quickly and she continues to bring joy to our lives. She's very rambunctious but generally well behaved, kind and loving, and a wonderful companion. Rob has been taking lots of pictures of Pookie, some of which are attached. We thought you might want to see what our big girl looks like now. By the way, Pookie still loves you. When she hears your voice on the videos, she continues to go NUTS!!! Pookie barks and dances and tries to start nursing. It's incredibly sweet to see how attached she remains to you and your family. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas! All the best to you and your family in the New Year. Cheers, Annette and Rob
Hi Susie,
Long time no speak. Between work, Pookie, and the new home, I've been very busy!. Hope you and your family have been doing well these past few months.
Pookie continues to be a wonderful addition to our lives. She is loving, playful, adventurous, and interacts well with both people and other dogs. Every night I take Pookie on two walks through our neighborhood (one when I get home from work and another one after dinner). While we take alternate routes so Pookie can get new sights and sounds, I think her favorite walk is to a small pasture not too far from our home. Three horses live in that pasture, one of whom likes to walk over to greet us when we arrive (a fence separates us from the horse so Pookie and I our safe :)). If I say to Pookie, "let's go see your friends," she excitedly leads the way.
Pookie also continues to make regular trips to the dog park where she hangs out with her very best friend, Sadie. Pookie and Sadie are wrestling buddies and they are inseparable. We just have to say, "Do you want to go see Sadie?" and Pookie will run to the door and then to jump into the car. Pookie also still remembers the names "Elvis" and "Georgia May;" she gets VERY excited if we mention them!
It's been extremely hot here. Today's temperature, along with the humidity, will likely crest over 100 degrees. To help Pookie cope with the summer heat, we've purchased a small kiddie pool that we keep on our deck. Pookie loves to jump int and splash around - it's hilarious to watch her! She's just like a little kid.
I keep looking at the pictures of olive collared girl and can't believe that someone hasn't taken her yet. She has the sweetest face!! If I had pick of the litter, I would have taken her. Hope you are able to find an owner for her soon.
Cheers,
Annette

Hi Susie, Just wanted to send a recent picture of Pooka and me. Rob took this shot earlier this summer. As you can see, Pooka is a big girl now. Rob is very excited to hear that you're breeding Lulu. He thinks we should get a brother for Pooka. I'll let you know how this conversation goes! Cheers, Annette

Bella ~
She is a beauty!!! Dry crate. We are driving home
Hi Susie ! Please see pics of Bella
Peter and Audrey Holocher - UT
UPDATES:
We just purchased a puppy from Susie. Of all the years interacting with “working dog” breeders Susie is at the top of the list. Detailed breed information, continuing education and responsive service. The videos she posts are on-going and not only entertaining, but “educate” those owners who have purchased from F.F. Fox’SFarm. This continuity of education material is “critical" to keep owners up to date on training methods, health and work related topics the dogs can perform. This applied knowledge will keep this beautiful breed moving forward into the next generation = responsible dog breeders and owners. I highly recommend F.F. Fox'SFarm!
Hi Susie,
Sounds great, would be fun to compare notes and learn from each other moving forward on the training. I can see you have some “real skill” in dog training. Will be interesting to see what comes of the herding trainer down the road? Exciting stuff. Bella had her first class with the Midway, Utah basic/intermediate trainer. Her assessment of Bella is that she is very intelligent and highly trainable (being highly food motivated). Also have her in our Vets “puppy class” in Park City. Was fun to watch her play with 18-20 other pups of all shapes and sizes! After the 6 sessions with trainer here in Midway, Bella will be having a full physical and psychological assessment with Sonja, the Internationally known performance K-9 trainer in Kamas, Utah. Basically she will provide her thoughts on what activities Bella “would best be suited for” on the activities/performance fronts. I am very interested in “functional obedience,” so obedience that can be applied to “daily activities” or “jobs a particular breed was raised or trained for". What I mentioned about Jack below and the “low training”…and him going under a fence. Perfect example of “functional obedience”….herding skill. I was thinking if you were out in the woods and the dog needed to go under a fence or downed log, or large branch…on command. Growing up in rural Washington State we always had working dogs, this would have been a great obedience skill for them to have known. What they did was typically “go around” the downed log. The walking and doing other commands “without the lead" is amazing stuff. The video with the doctor in Boston is really top-notch obedience.
Have a great night!

Hi Susie, Bella chilling out next to my office after a walk. It's snowing big time here in northern utah. Will hopefully transition her to office in a month or two. Are you familiar with "purple mattresses" ? Got 3 for Bella. Amazing technology! She loves the beds! Hope you family had a safe and wonderful New Years! Peter
Found this picture when Bella was around 10 weeks old. She was so small!
Bella just got highlighted! Amy Francis is one of the top dog trainers in Utah!
Trainer really believes she has BIG potential as a therapy dog
Bella just got highlighted! Amy Francis is one of the top dog trainers in Utah! You bet. She loves her nerves and ability to discern at "such a young age". Oh... my ever present friend. I turn around and there you are like a silent hunter stalking wild game in the wild. I have to CONTINUALLY remind myself that this human-dog bond is not completely unconditional! Bella wants what’s in that pan😂😂
Hi Susie! Just posted some really cute pics of Bella boop
These two are becoming fast friends.
|
10 weeks old.
Found a nice trail in the Dechutes National Forest...we can see the entry point of the trail from our place. Great discovery...Bella is loving it
She passed the Rocky Mountain Therapy Certification test! She is an official therapy dog.
1st attempt and passed at 11 months old! She likes to help daddy with work She especially likes to come inside my office at lunch time

Elvis ~
We brought our Alapaha home yesterday. He is the perfect puppy. He listens well already and is so well mannered. We have to think that’s because of how much Susie works with them. She’s certainly the reason the puppies are so great. He’s happy, healthy and we can’t love him more than we already do.
Thanks Susie and Mark for making our family more complete. (And thanks to Jack and Lexy).
Jeff and Judy Engle-MD
UPDATES:
He's done so well. I just took him out and he did his business like he's been here for a while. We are so impressed with his demeanor. He's so good
He is obsessed with Callie's bed. He loves it so much. Always lays in it.
Elvis is a moose now and I’m glad we got to see his body changes. Jeff now walks him everyday and has started to incorporate a jug with it. He certainly keeps up and is looking for more activity once he gets home. Lol
He and Callie are our everything. They make us laugh and comfort us when needed. They show us every day how much we’re loved and I hope they know how much we love them.
Have a great Friday and enjoy the New Year celebrations
